Ultrasonic welding machine for paper restoration
The BELOThe ultrasonic welding machine is suitable for welding two polyester films up to 0,5 mm thick, for archiving and storing paper images and documents. Polyester films can also be easily and securely welded to suitable types of cardboard. Ultrasonic welding has become the standard for document archiving compared to heat welding due to its significant advantages. It is recognized as the most durable and secure welding method because of its high quality. A 35 kHz generator produces the necessary energy, which is transferred to a sonotrode (chisel) in the form of high-frequency vibrations. When the vibrating sonotrode rests on the films, this energy is converted into friction, fusing the films together. The energy is transferred at specific points, so fusion only occurs within those points.
This principle allows welds of any length or individual weld points to be created at any desired location.
Depending on the design of the seams, the resulting envelopes made from the two films can be used in different ways: from full sealing to light, air-permeable stapling.
The characteristics of the weld seam can be adapted to individual needs by adjusting the contact pressure, the feed rate and the amplitude.
The holding force of the weld can thus be adjusted from light tack welding (for easier reopening) to full penetration welding.
The welding head is automatically moved across the film by a motor-driven linear unit, ensuring an extremely uniform weld. The "Freehand" function allows the film to be manually moved under the sonotrode in any direction. Curved weld seams can therefore be easily achieved.

Welding and resting times can each be freely adjusted. This results not in a continuous seam, but in a weld line interrupted at intervals.
Automatic operation with two functions
Automatic I: By tapping the hand control once with the "lower" function, the sonotrode lowers and the welding process is automatically carried out until the next limit switch and the sonotrode is raised again.
Automatic II: Like automatic mode I, however, after the sonotrode lifts off at the limit switch, the welding head returns to its starting position.

Ruler with two limit switches (limiters)
For reproducing fixed weld lengths. The weld length corresponds to the path set via the limit switches on the ruler. The welding head moves from the first limit switch to the second and automatically stops the welding process there.
