The BELO-The book wedge for paper restoration is a specially developed device for restoration and conservation measures on bound objects.
The main advantage of the BELO-Book wedges offer the possibility of treating individual pages of a book without having to open the binding.
The wedge-shaped vacuum table can easily be inserted into the bound object to treat individual sides.
The storage surface for the object is inclined (adjustable), so that when the book wedge is inserted, the individual side to be treated lies horizontally with the working surface of the vacuum table.
A bookend reduces the opening angle of the book and relieves stress on the spine. A plexiglass page holder prevents the pages from closing when the book is open and also provides protection.
Handling is made easier by attaching the BELO book wedge to a swiveling bracket that is also height-adjustable. The BELO book wedge can be moved laterally and tilted.
The height is adjusted via a crank, allowing for easy adjustment. Storage surfaces (made of stainless steel) for tools and materials are located on the right and left sides of the base.
The stable construction of the holder allows for the supportive resting of one's own arm while working.
The workplace is designed for working while seated.
The frame construction consists of aluminum system profile (anodized) and is equipped with four lockable swivel casters.
The workstation has its own storage area for tools and materials.
The housing containing the control unit for regulating the speed of the vacuum generator and additional sockets is mounted on the side.

Speed control
The motor speed can be continuously adjusted from standstill to maximum power via a potentiometer. This allows the desired pressure to be set precisely.
The power plug of the vacuum generator is inserted directly into the designated socket on the control unit. The socket has its own illuminated switch.
Connection data: 240 V / 50 Hz / max. 15 A.
Additionally, the control unit has two further sockets (240 V)
accommodated for free use.
